Ana and Topson Join T1 Just in Time for TI11 Qualifiers

Anathan “ana” Pham and Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen have officially joined the T1 Dota 2 team ahead of The International 2022 (TI11) qualifiers. As we know, T1 has been on the lookout for a new mid and carry players after saying their farewell to Karl “Karl” Baldovino and Kim “Gabbi” Santos one week ago.

Despite their solid performances throughout the year, T1 still failed to establish themselves as the top team in the SEA region. Now, they wanted to make a big change before The International 11 (TI11) starts. Ana and Topson have joined T1 for the upcoming TI11 SEA qualifiers which will start on 3 September 2022.

The two players themselves are former TI champions (The International 8 and 9) as part of  OG. Their victories in both The International tournaments certainly shocked the whole world and immediately changed them from the underdogs to superstars.

Prior to joining T1, both were free agents who had taken a break from the professional scene since the 2021 season ended. Now, Ana and Topson have found their new home, to once again try to compete at The International.

On the other hand, the passage of Boom and Fantic to TI via DPC points does not change the fact that the SEA qualifiers are still filled with strong teams. Talon will most likely be the favorite in the tournament, with teams like RSG and SMG also being touted as other potential teams.

With only one slot available from this qualifying round, it will be a difficult task for a newly overhauled team like T1 to be able to win it. Do you think T1 will have a chance to qualify for The International 2022’s main event?
