Shocking news came from the Indonesian Valorant scene. One of the best Valorant teams in Indonesia, Bigetron Arctic, officially announced its disbandment yesterday (12/6). This is certainly quite surprising seeing the achievements and performance of M0rea and friends who are quite slick and not disappointing.

The news of the disbanding of the Bigetron Valorant division, aka Bigetron Arctic, was announced through a post on Bigetron's official Instagram account. To answer fan confusion, the post also included an exclusive statement from the CEO, Edwin "Starlest" Chia.

According to Starlest, this (disbanding the Valorant team) was quite a difficult decision for him. He revealed that the biggest consideration for Bigetron Esports to let go of the Valorant division was because of the lack of official Valorant tournaments, plus their very small chance of compete the franchise league, VCT Pacific.

Even so, Starlest revealed that he still appreciated the title won by Bigetron Arctic at VCL ID Split 1 last year. According to him, it was one of his team's best moments and an experience he will never forget.

"We will continue to remember with pride the victory we achieved in Split 1 this year. Even though we were relegated to the second Split, your unwavering support remains a great strength for us, it's an experience we will never forget!" she added.

However, in the future, Starlest revealed that he will still look at future conditions and situations. If the competitive scheme of the Valorant game is more promising in Indonesia, then it is possible that he will reopen this team.

"But we will still look to the future. If Valorant's competitive scheme changes favorably for teams not in the franchise league, there is a possibility of returning. In the meantime, we will focus on other opportunities in esports" Starlest explained in the Instagram post.

Bigetron Arctic itself is currently unable to fight in the VCT Pacific franchise league. Because in the VCL ID Split 2 event yesterday, Bigetron Arctic failed to qualify for VCT Ascension after only being able to reach fourth place.

Now it is still  unknown how the fate of the Bigetron Arctic players will be in the future. But certainly, Bigetron Arctic has contributed quite a lot to the Indonesian Valorant scene, one of which is by donating players to the Indonesian national team for the 2023 SEA Games yesterday.
