Rise of the New Champion, ECHO Won M4 World Championship!

The Filipino representative, ECHO Esports won the world-class Mobile Legends: Bang-Bang (MLBB) tournament, M4 World Championship 2023, after defeating their compatriot, Blacklist International in the Grand Final, Sunday (January 15th, 2023).

Competing at Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, Echo Esports defeated the reigning champion Blacklist International mercilessly 4-0.

The strong game of Echo Esports, which fielded its best players Sanji, Sanford, Bennyqt, Karltzy, Yawi, was seen from the first game which made it difficult for Blacklist International, consisting of Wise, Edward, OhMyV33nus, Hadji, Oheb, to develop their game.

One of the keys to ECHO’s victory is the banning of OhMyV33nus’ favorite hero, who has always been the brains of the Blacklist game, Estes. Out of the four games, the support hero is always one of the heroes that ECHO banned from being played by Blacklist International.

With a final score of 4-0, Echo has the right to bring home the Champion title. For Karltzy, the title is his second. In the M2 World Championship, Karltzy successfully led Bren Esports to lift the winning trophy.

ECHO is also one of the reasons why the tournament’s host representatives, ONIC Esports and RRQ Hoshi had to be eliminated. They first beat ONIC Esports in the Upper Bracket, which then led to the battle of the two Indonesian reps.

Later, ECHO was defeated by Blacklist International in the Upper Bracket Semi Final, which brought them to face RRQ Hoshi who managed to come out on top from the all Indonesian match before.

Then, they beat the only Indonesian team left in the tournament and face the Blacklist International once again in the Grand Final, which they won amazingly.
