Liiv Sandbox, esports team from South Korea has disbanded the Wild Rift and FIFA Online divisions! This was officially announced through his social media account at the end of 2022 yesterday.
This is the announcement post via Twitter social media @LiivSANDBOX:
"Hello, this is Liiv Sandbox.
The year 2022 is over, and so are Liiv Sandbox's Wild Rift and FIFA Online divisions.
Our FIFA Online team has won the EACC Winter 2019 and Autumn 2021 thanks to the support and love of fans. We'd like to say a huge thank you to the FIFA Online team for bringing Liiv Sandbox to life on the global stage.
Team Wild Rift has also impressed fans by defeating the undefeated number one team on the WCK stage. We will remember the players who always gave their best without losing their spirits in difficult times.
Thanks to all the fans who have loved the FIFAOnline team and WildRift Liiv Sandbox, we would like to ask for warm support and appreciation for all concerned players.
Towards 2023, Liiv Sandbox will focus on League of Legends, Kartrider, and Rainbow Six Siege teams, so that management is more efficient and players can continue their journey seamlessly. Thank you for your support and interest in Liiv Sandbox's new challenges in the future.
Thank you."
Liiv Sandbox did not provide a strong reason for disbanding the Wild Rift and FIFA Online division. However, the lack of activity and achievements from the two divisions in 2022 is estimated to be the biggest reason for Liiv Sandbox to make this decision.
Based on data courtesy of Liiv Sandbox, Wild Rift division has never produced a championship title since arriving in 2021, while the FIFA Online division never participated in any tournament in 2022.
