M4 World Championship Schedule and Formats

The M4 World Championship is about to start. The world-class competition will bring together the strongest MLBB teams from various countries to fight for a trophy with the highest prestige in the scene.

This upcoming M-Series will be held in Indonesia, which could be an opportunity for them to try and become the next champion. Especially because the current team’s momentum is good after winning the IESF 2022. 

M4 World Championship Dates and Formats

The M4 World Championship will start on January 1, 2023 with the initial phase of the Group Stage. The Group Stage will last for 4 days, then will be followed by the Knockout Stage, and then closed by the Grand Final.

The complete sequence is as follows:

1. Group Stage : January 1 - 4, 2023

2. Knockout Stage: January 7 - 14, 2023

3. Grand Final: January 15, 2023

The tournament consists of 16 teams, which is divided into 4 groups to determine who goes to the upper bracket and lower bracket of the Knockout Stage. None of the teams will be eliminated in this phase.

The 8 best teams (1st and 2nd positions in each group) will advance to the upper bracket, and vice versa. During the Knockout Stage, each team has to do their best not to be eliminated from the tournament. Then, the two best teams that pass from the upper bracket and lower bracket will go to the Grand Final phase.

M4 World Championship Venue

As the host, Indonesia makes Jakarta the center of the M4 World Championship. There are 2 venues used to welcome the M4 World Championship event, namely Bali United Studio (Group Stage) and Tennis Indoor Senayan (Knockout Stage and Group Stage).

DAY 1 – GROUP A AND B (1 January 2023)

  • 14:00 - Blacklist International vs Incendio Supremacy
  • 15:00 - NOT vs Malvinas Gaming
  • 16:00 - Malvinas Gaming vs MDH Esports
  • 17:00 - Falcon Esports vs BURN x Flash
  • 18:00 - Incendio Supremacy vs Falcon Esports

DAY 2 – GROUP C AND D (2 January 2023)

  • 14:00 - RSG SG vs Occupy Thrones

  • 16:00 - RRQ Hoshi vs Occupy Thrones
  • 17:00 - RRQ Akira vs The Valley

DAY 3 – GROUP A AND B (3 January 2023)

  • 14:00 - Malvinas Gaming vs ONIC Esports
