After two consecutive years of being the runners-up, Stephanie's Queen Walkers (QW) team finally won the Clash of Clans (COC) World Championship 2022 tournament.
This achievement feels even more special because the team they are facing is Tribe Gaming, the team that is more favoured to succeed in bringing home the trophy. However, QW Stephanie managed to break this prediction and establish themselves as the strongest COC team in the world today.
Held in Helsinki, Finland, on 23 - 25 September 2022, the 2022 COC World Championship brings together the best 8 teams from various countries around the world. Four teams hailed from community teams, while the rest managed to secure slots through the Championship Qualifiers.
From the start, QW Stephanie has been stealing the show. The Japanese team managed to show a consistent game from the start of the tournament. In the first round, they managed to beat the GS team.
In the second round, it was Repotted Gaming's turn to fall to its knees in front of QW Stephanie. As a result, the ticket to the Upper Bracket Semifinals was successfully secured and they had to face Tribe Gaming.
As it turned out, Tribe Gaming was able to beat QW Stephanie while lowering them to the Lower Bracket. In order to stay in the tournament, they had to beat MS Esports in the Lower Bracket Final. Thanks to a slick game, they managed to complete the mission.
In the final round, they again met with Tribe Gaming. However, this time the results were inversely related because QW Stephanie managed to show their superiority. They are also entitled to the prize money of 300,000 USD (equivalent to 4.5 billion rupiah).
Tribe Gaming as the runner-up is “only” entitled to a prize of 150,000 USD (equivalent to 2.2 billion rupiah). The tournament ended in order of standings as listed below:
#1: QW Stephanie
#2: Tribe Gaming
#3: MS Esports
#4: GS
#5: Repotted Gaming
#6: SpaceStation
#7: Strut Esports
#8: X-Team Esports
Congratulations to QW Stephanie on her win in the 2022 COC World Championship tournament!
