To take on the 2022/23 DPC, TSM recruited Ari and Whitemon to complete its roster. This exciting news comes a few days before the DPC roster lock deadline which is set on December 9, 2022.
Ari and Whitemon will serve as support for the TSM squad and are the final piece the team needs. With this, TSM has completed its Dota 2 roster for the upcoming season. Here is TSM's official Dota 2 roster at DPC 2022/23:
- Enzo "Timado" O'Connor
- Jonathan “Bryle” Guia
- Jonáš “SabeRLight-” Volek
- Matthew "Ari" Walker
- Matthew “Whitemon” Philemon
Ari
Ari is a player who previously played in the United Kingdom region, to be precise with the Into the Breach (ITB) team. After TI11 concluded, it seems the player has decided to move to North America and join TSM.
He is a former Heroes of the Storm player and was even ranked #1 in all of Europe in 2018. However, after Blizzard discontinued the game’s esports scene, Ari moved on to Dota 2.
Whitemon
Meanwhile, Whitemon is a former T1 player. Yes, he has played in the Southeast Asia region and has repeatedly become a crucial player for the team's playstyle. Unfortunately, T1 decided to disband its Dota 2 roster.
Whitemon is a player from Indonesia who recently represented the country at TI11 and is part of the Indonesian Dota 2 national team at the ongoing 2022 IESF World Esports Championships. In TSM, Whitemon is ready to make his country proud even more.
***
TSM's Dota 2 team itself is still relatively new, where they just started their journey in 2021. With a bang, TSM went straight to the first Regional Final and defeated EG 3-2 in a BO3 match. After that, TSM won a second place at ESL One Stockholm 2022.
Unfortunately, this team lost its shine after that tournament, and even only ranked 19-20th at TI11. Even so, this is all a good start. With the additional support of Ari and Whitemon, TSM will also be a team to watch over at the upcoming DPC 2022/23.
