The VALORANT tournament, VCT APAC Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) 2022 APAC region, has been completed. For the first time, BOOM Esports, a full Indonesian team managed to qualify for the VALORANT Champions which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey.
They became the first Indonesian representative team that qualified for the international tournament after defeating another Indonesian representative, ONIC G, in the Grand Final on Sunday (7/8/22).
In the best of 5 series match between the two, both teams picked map Bind, Haven, Fracture, Icebox, and Split for their battle. BOOM Esports managed to get the first two games and must give the third game up.
Going to the fourth game with more caution, BOOM Esports also almost lost the fourth game where ONIC G managed to dominate the first half of the match. However, BOOM Esports managed to catch up to their opponent’s score and even turn the table over.
BOOM wrapped up the last game with a 13-11 win and ensured their 3-1 Victory over ONIC G to snatch APAC’s ticket to the upcoming VALORANT Champions 2022 in Turkey.
The team consisting of blaZek1ng, fl1pzjder, BerserX, Tehbotol, famouz, and their coach, Meow, managed to show their best performance by defeating yet another great team from APAC. This is arguably a difficult journey for BOOM Esports in the VALORANT scene.
The reason is that it took approximately 2 years for them to finally attend the international VALORANT tournament. This is also the first time that a team consisting of all-Indonesian players qualified for the VALORANT Champions.
