RRQ is Planning to Open a New Mobile Legends Division in the Philippines

After expanding to Brazil, it seems that Team RRQ will also form a new MLBB division in Indonesia's biggest rival, the Philippines. This was leaked recently by Andrian Pauline aka RRQ AP, CEO of Team RRQ, himself.

In case you missed it, Team RRQ has established a new MLBB team called RRQ Akira in Brazil, South America. Immediately becoming the strongest, the team represented their region and advanced to the M4 World Championship in January 2023.

As a relatively new team, RRQ Akira has already won two MPL Brazil and put up a pretty good fight against the bigger, more veteran teams in the M4. This shows its potential and future. Now, RRQ has chosen the Philippines as the next scene they want to dominate.

According to ONE Esports, Team RRQ will be setting up a new MLBB team in the Philippines, which will debut through MDL PH Season 2!

RRQ’s New MLBB Division in the Philippines

After winning the M-Series for the third time, it's undeniable that the MLBB scene in the Philippines is one of the most prestigious. The country is no less great at producing great MLBB esports athletes than Indonesia.

This did not escape RRQ AP's analysis, leading him to make an interesting decision. The CEO revealed how team RRQ plans to set up a MDL team in the Philippines:

"Most likely, in the next season we will have an MDL team in the Philippines. Now it's in process. It’s the same there as in Indonesia. There is a qualification or invitation path. Why MDL (PH)? Because there are a lot of young talents in the Philippines...What's the goal? Knowledge transfer," said Andrian Pauline, CEO of Team RRQ.

Unlike Indonesia, which already has seven MDL seasons, MDL PH has just begun its first season on February 15, 2023. In it are the Phillipines’ tier-2 teams such as Blacklist Academy, ECHO Proud, Omega Neos, RSG Ignite, BREN Euphoria Esports, and ONIC Arsenals.

Considering the track record of its MLBB division, RRQ joining the Philippines will make the competition in that country even more fierce!
