TI11 Schedule Revealed, It’s Gonna Run For a Month!

For the first time ever, the biggest Dota 2 annual tournament, The International (TI) will be held in Southeast Asia. Valve revealed a few weeks ago that in October 2022, Singapore will be the home for TI11. This will surely get all Dota 2 fans to be excited, since the schedule for the offline tournament has been officially revealed!

TI11 will have a different format compared to the previous annual events. The usual 10-day event will now become a four-week full of actions. As per the official statement, it will feature 30 participating teams who will fight for the top.

The event will start with the Last Chance Qualifier which runs from October 8-12, where only 20 teams will move on to the next stage. Then those qualifying teams will battle in the Group Stage on October 15-18 to get to the main Event.

The Playoffs will start on October 20-23 at SunTec Singapore Convention and Exhibition Centre and will narrow those teams even further. The survivors will then advance to the Finals at Singapore Indoor Stadium on October 29-30 to fight for the Aegis of Champions!

For now, there’s still no information regarding the Playoffs and Finals tickets. But based on the last 2 TI tournaments, some predict that the Playoffs ticket will cost around PHP 2837-3638, while the Finals ticket will cost at least PHP 11279-15998. Of course, it is still only a prediction, so we’ll have to see the actual price when it comes out later on.

The way we see it, it looks like Valve is taking a page out of League of Legends tournaments format, where they split the Grand Final to 5 days after the Playoffs. This will make for an even grander finals for sure!

Now that tournament is getting closer, it’s time to save our money up for the trip. This is a rare occasion, where an event this big will be held near us. Feel the excitement live, support your favorite team, and enjoy the fight!
